Marina Cay

If you are looking for a great afternoon and evening on Tortola you'd be foolish not to give marina Cay a try from Mondays to Thursdays as there a a great show on.  Michael Bean entertains guests for two hours solid with be comical take on a pirate theme.  What makes this a unique experience is that you have to take a boat from Trellis Bay to the Marina which is itself located on an island.  After the show, stay for dinner and the boat waits waits to take you back to the main island.  Good fun had by all!

Mount Healthy

This is close to where I go to yoga... isn't it great to have a spa in a place called Mount Healthy!

I told you there were steep hills in the BVI... if you don't believe me look at the gradient on the top sign... and they are not exaggerating!

Got lent an underwater camera this weekend... here are some of the results.. not bad for my first attempt!  Now that I am hooked on diving what a way to add my other hobby, photography.  All I need now is to find myself an underwater camera!

Peter Island

Took my first trip to Peter Island.  This is a privately owned island of the BVI housing a very exclusive resort where you can rent villas or hotel room with quite spectacular views.  To get there you take a 30 min ferry from Road Town and it drops you off at the marina which is only 5 mins walk from a rather idealic beach.  Stay for lunch at the beach grill and lounge around sun bathing for the rest of the day.  Quite an enjoyable experience but a bit too tame for my liking... i.e. too resort.
